Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Senior Facilities Electrical Engineer to join our team in Springfield, VA. This organization supports mission critical government programs.

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with a focus in critical facility power systems. Candidate must be familiar with design and implementation of complex facility electrical systems, including emergency power generation. To perform this role effectively, you must have extensive experience as an Electrical Engineer.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Lead Facility Engineering team to ensure complex and critical systems are fully operational and redundant power sources are available
  • Lead integration of multiple contractor efforts for the commissioning of new backup power generation plant to include hardware, software, regulatory and cybersecurity elements.
  • Represent the Boeing Team as a Subject Matter Expert for technical reviews across all levels of the Customer organization including Executive Leaders
  • Provide support to Operations and Maintenance teams in planning and coordinating Maintenance Activities
  • Respond to facility anomalies to immediately restore operations and conduct throughout root cause analyses and implement corrective/preventive actions
  • Ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, and technical drawings
  • Ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by coordinating installation, construction, maintenance, documentation, support/testing activities
  • Write reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects and studies
  • Prepare specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials
  • Estimate material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation
  • Develop and implementing Standard Operating Procedures for electrical infrastructure


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A final Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance with a Counterintelligence Polygraph pre-start is required.

Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Experience using SKM software
  • 5+ years' experience as a Facilities Electrical Engineer
  • Electrical Engineering degree


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 10+ years' experience as a Facilities Electrical Engineer
  • Professional Engineer license in the state of Virginia
  • Experience working with U.S. Government customer


Typical Education/Experience:
Level 4:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Level 5:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range level 4: $119,850 - $162,150

Summary pay range level 5: $141,100 - $190,900
