BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated
Communications Specialist 2 for
an opportunity in Redmond, WA




Position
Title: Communications Specialist 2




Location: Redmond WA, Remote


Anticipated Start Date: - ASAP

Expected Duration: 12 Months Contract




Job Type: Contract and Hybrid

Pay Range: $20/hr. - $25/hr.



Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Requirements:





  • 3-5 years of experience Ability to shift Priority quickly

  • 3-5 years of Strategic outlook and experience

  • 3-5 years of Ability to communicate with people of all different levels internally and externally with stakeholders and team members.



Key Responsibilities:




Strategy Development:





  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies tailored to the internal Global Supply Chain organization, the broader Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) organization, and external suppliers and partners.

  • Ensure alignment of all communication efforts with the overall business strategy and objectives of the data center and supply chain operations.
    Internal Communications:


  • Create and execute internal communication plans to keep the Global Supply Chain team informed about operations, updates, and changes.

  • Develop and distribute regular newsletters, bulletins, and internal reports.

  • Maintain and update the supply chain team's intranet pages with relevant information, news, and resources.

  • Organize and facilitate team meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items.

  • Prepare and present communication materials for internal briefings.
    Broader CO+I Organization Communications:


  • Develop strategies to communicate key supply chain updates and initiatives to the broader CO+I organization.

  • Create content for CO+I internal newsletters, presentations, and reports to ensure alignment and transparency across teams.
    External Communications with Suppliers and Partners:


  • Manage communications with external stakeholders, including suppliers, vendors, and partners.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key external contacts to ensure smooth supply chain operations.

  • Create and execute crisis communication plans in response to supply chain disruptions or emergencies.
    Project Management:


  • Lead and manage communication projects related to supply chain initiatives, ensuring timely and effective delivery.

  • Implement and manage collaboration tools and platforms to enhance communication and information sharing among the global team.

  • Collect feedback from team members and stakeholders to continuously improve communication effectiveness.
    Analytical Roles:


  • Monitor and analyze communication metrics to assess the effectiveness of communication strategies and campaigns.

  • Prepare regular reports on communication activities and outcomes for senior management.
    Soft Skills:


  • Foster a positive and collaborative communication culture within the team.

  • Address and resolve communication-related issues and challenges efficiently.
    Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a communications role, preferably within a supply chain or technology environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in using communication and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Office Suite, SharePoint, Slack, etc.).

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to monitor and report on communication metrics.

  • Experience in crisis communication and public relations is a plus.
