Job Description:

Beacon Hill Financial has partnered up with a non-profit in Washington, D.C. to bring a well-rounded Senior Accountant to their growing team. This individual will be expected to oversee AP and AR and work within the general ledger effectively. This is a hybrid role, therefore, prior experience in a hybrid or remote position is required. Job Responsbilities:

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and management reports.


• Perform month-end and year-end close processes.


• Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issues.


• Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.


• Assist with budget preparation and forecasting.


• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards.


• Supervise accounting staff and manage day-to-day operations of the accounting department.


• Collaborate with external auditors and provide necessary information for audits.


• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.


• Provide support for special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.
