We are seeking an experienced Python Data Engineer to join our Big Data and Advanced Analytics team. The Lead Python Data Engineer will work with business experts and data scientists to tackle oil and gas midstream challenges using advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI.
Duration: 12 month W2 contract
Pay Rate: $95-105/hr
Location: 5 days onsite - Downtown Houston, TX
Responsibilities
Collaborate with business experts and data scientists to create reliable, scalable machine learning systems.
Design and implement frameworks and tools for the machine learning process.
Automate data collection and processing tasks.
Develop fault-tolerant microservices using software design patterns.
Transform research-based models into production-ready software.
Ensure coding standards, code quality, documentation, and test coverage.
Qualifications
7+ years of Python programming experience.
Expertise in developing and maintaining data pipelines.
Experience in testing, packaging, and deploying machine learning models.
Proficiency in design principles, unit testing, CI/CD, and version control.
Familiarity with Python packages like Pandas, Numpy, Pyarrow, Pytest, Scikit-Learn, and Boto3.
Experience with SQL databases and AWS S3.
Experience in developing APIs and microservices.
Knowledge of MLOps principles and ML platforms like Apache Airflow, Kubernetes, Dask, Ray, and MLFlow.
