CSG Talent are currently looking for a Highway Estimator for a leading US Construction Materials company, you will be responsible estimating for highway construction projects, demonstrating a strong ability to manage cost assessments, bid preparation, and project budgeting.
Core responsibilities:
Develop cost estimates for highway projects, covering labor, materials, and equipment.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure timely submission of bids.
Conduct research on market prices, material costs, and industry trends to ensure estimates are accurate and competitive.
Review project plans and specifications to understand work scope and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Identify risks in project estimates and recommend mitigation strategies.
Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in estimating techniques.
Ensure all laws and regulations are met.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Must have Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Construction or 8 years experience within construction.
Experience working in fluctuating weather, elevated temperatures, and loud noise levels.
Preferred experience with New York DOT bidding process.
