The position participates and contributes to program teams to ensure that the right products are developed to meet or exceed the Company's quality standard and delivered at the right time.
Duties and Responsibilities • Provides support for operations by planning, directing, and coordinating the activities of product launches to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are met. • Serves as a plant liaison to product development teams. • Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards. • Analyzes manufacturing capabilities, production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions. • Provides project management and manufacturing input throughout all phases of the product development process. • Tracks program against schedule, budget and phase review objectives
Qualifications
Qualifications include: • Minimum 1 year of direct customer contact with an OEM • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Program Management • Experience with lean manufacturing and change management • Minimum two years of experience in an engineering environment with significant manufacturing exposure • Working knowledge of materials, manufacturing techniques and engineering practices • Bachelor's Degree in Technical, Business, or Program Management • Experience with lean manufacturing and change management • Minimum two years of experience in an engineering environment with significant manufacturing exposure • Must reside within the state of Florida
Preferred Experience: Experienced Engineer with a minimum of 1 year of direct customer contact with an OEM
Preferred Education: Four-year Bachelor's Degree
