The Credit Analysis Manager oversees the day to day operations of the credit underwriting function; ensuring performance quality, consistency of underwriting and timeliness that meets or exceed customer and bank expectations. This position follows a Hybrid Work Schedule.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Review incoming loan applications for completeness of information and assigns to an analyst or self
Analyzes loan data on new and existing loans for purposes of approval of new money or modification or an annual review of a borrower
Manages workload of team of analyst including new money and annual reviews; additionally special projects as required
Oversees workflow to ensure efficiency in process and adherence to policy
Provide on-going training, guidance, and assistance to team of analysts, ensuring adequate workload
Works with lenders to obtain and understand the necessary information to analyze borrower’s credit worthiness
Responsible for overseeing ensuring compliance with HMDA compliance requirements, including the quarterly HMDA reports (including small business loans and community developments loans).
Maintains a working knowledge of all the lending compliance regulations and credit policy, ensuring compliance
Consults with customers, as appropriate to understand financial condition, verify financial information and credit needs
Acts affirmatively in all activities under his or her control in conformance with Bank lending policies.
Performs other related duties as required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or other appropriate business related field with two (2) to five (5) years previous experience within a commercial lending division of a financial institution or an equivalent combination of work experience and education.
Solid knowledge of commercial banking and credit lending laws and regulations
Knowledge of appraisal and environmental regulation preferred
Strong verbal and written communications skills; presenting ideas, facts, and technical information with others clearly and concisely
Strong attention to detail with the ability to complete various job tasks in an accurate manner; must be able to organize, prioritize, and meet work deadlines
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and deal with co-workers in a professional manner
Proficient with computer applications such as Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Abrigo, etc.
Able to perform under stress when confronted with critical timeline constraints and large work volumes
Ability to identify tasks requirements and monitor progress towards completion
Ability to receive guidance and supervision and follow work rules and procedures. Ability to meet deadlines, and to meet punctuality and attendance standards
