Microsoft .NET Developer Harris Local Government - Remote
Harris Local Government is seeking a talented and experienced Microsoft .Net Developer to develop and maintain software programs that contain C# and VB.Net code. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with WinForms, Crystal Reports, ORM, Entity Framework, and SQL. This role requires a deep understanding of software development principles and a passion for creating robust and efficient applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain software programs using C# and VB.Net within a WinForms environment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Develop and integrate Crystal Reports for data visualization and reporting.
Implement and manage Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) techniques, with a strong emphasis on Entity Framework.
Perform SQL database development and maintenance, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and optimization tasks.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing applications.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously enhance skills and improve development processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Proven experience as a Microsoft .Net Developer with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
Proficiency in C#, VB.Net, and WinForms development.
Hands-on experience with ORM frameworks, particularly Entity Framework.
Strong SQL skills, including database design, query optimization, and stored procedures.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Intimate knowledge of Crystal Reports for designing and generating reports.
Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Knowledge of modern front-end technologies (e.g., HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) is a plus.
Microsoft certifications related to .Net development.
