Description: Our client has an opportunity for a new opportunity for a Systems Engineer. The Systems Engineering Group at our organization specializes in developing space, airborne, and terrestrial prototypes to address challenging national security issues. Our teams are responsible for designing and implementing large-scale prototype systems, including space payloads, satellites for sensing and communication, and both airborne and ground-based systems. Notable projects include satellite sensors, space-based and ground-based laser communication systems, airborne laser radar, imaging systems for manned and unmanned aircraft, and small satellites.
Requirements:
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aero/Astronautics, Software Engineering, or related fields is required. Additionally, candidates should have at least 7 years of relevant experience in systems engineering for space or airborne systems. An MS degree or PhD can be substituted for years of experience.
Skills:
Ability to support a full range of systems engineering activities across multiple programs.
Proficiency in identifying necessary technology development efforts from a systems perspective.
Demonstrated experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce and deliver professional reports and presentations.
Familiarity with SysML Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools is essential.
Knowledge of hardware-software integration is beneficial.
Preferred:
Experience with MagicDraw.
