Technical Specialist - Software Development and Support
Location: Minnetonka, MN
Summary: We are seeking a skilled Technical Specialist to join our team. This role involves modifying existing software applications and writing new programs to support user and management needs. As a Technical Specialist, you will consult with users, design program changes, and provide technical support. You'll play a crucial role in resolving production system issues and may lead the development of automated systems or procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support On-Prem & SaaS applications utilizing SQL Server databases, with expertise in Stored Procedures, SSIS, and query optimization.
Manage Vendor Application Support, including releases, patches, and incident resolution.
Develop and manage APIs (SOAP and REST) for both On-Prem and Cloud SaaS vendor applications.
Apply knowledge of different SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.).
Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Collaborate effectively both independently and in teams.
Work with SQL Server and Windows Server.
Familiarity with Scheduling Tools and Code Management software.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree.
3+ years of related experience or an additional 4 years of related work experience may be considered in lieu of the Bachelor's Degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft Office experience.
Experience working in a multi-platform environment.
Ability to balance development and support roles.
Involvement in projects related to business segments.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, customer service focus, and collaboration with IT, vendors, and business groups.
