The Maintenance Technician is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining plant processing, facility and support equipment.

Hours: Monday- Friday 7-3:30, overtime as needed.
Wage: $26.94/hr

Engagement- Safety and Quality:
Comprehension and engagement of all safety requirements including those defined as creating imminent danger (LOTO, Arc Flash, Confined Space, and Fall Protection)
Comprehension and engagement of all Quality program requirements to include GMP's and Food Safety.
Completes all required Safety Engagements
Conducts proper Lock out/Tag O ut , when applicable, before starting work on a piece of equipment
Reacts quickly and resolves all unsafe conditions and actions immediately - escalating when there is an issue they cannot quickly resolve on their own
Communication :
Participate s in shift huddles when required
Cooperate s wit h coworkers/other mechanics

Integration of Competencies :
Consistently submits WOs and PMs with parts issued to ea ch, when applicable
Adds required time to PMs and WOs to properly track labor hours
Time management skills: proper use of e-Time to comply with Fair Labor standards as well as complying with the Attendance Policy
Collaborates with creamery supervisors, management, safety, quality and machine operators to resolve issues
Is approachable when asked to help reslove issues in production
Can perform general preventative maintenance on equipment
Performs routine system evaluations of mechanical equipment
Ensures once repairs are complete, to leave a clean, orderly and sanitized production area
Must have base knowledge and experience with maintenance shop tools
Must have a minimum of two years of previous experience in an industrial environment
Must be able to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time
Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel , crouch or crawl for extended periods of time
Utilizes use of Redzone, especially for line call assistance
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds

Possess mechanical aptitude. Some experience with mechanical systems, utilizing product manuals, troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns, and reading mechanical drawings.
Preferred Qualifications & Experiences:
High School Diploma or GED
1+ years' experience with basic electrical systems, compressors, welding, plumbing, conveyers, hydraulics, packaging, PLC, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, and pumps.
Forklift experience preferred or willing to be trained for certification
Ensures a safe working environment for self and others while performing assigned tasks
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to effectively work with a variety of people and departments
Ability to be flexible in work performed and schedule
Self-reliant and able to accurately work under limited supervision

Physical Requirements for production positions regularly include:
Frequent movement including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements
Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
Working across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include work in environments where dust is present
Shift schedules that include days, nights, and weekends, some holidays and periodic overtime
