Directs and manages the identification system for all employees, service and technical representatives, contractors, and visitors to Austal USA facilities
Develops Security Visitation Policy and Procedures in accordance with existing and future requirements
Control employee identification cards and records, maintain lock and key records, and arrange visit authorizations for employees and others to gain access to restricted areas
Select, train, and develop subordinates, review their performance, and recommend Visitor Control employee status changes including: compensation, promotions, and transfers
Provide administrative support to the Security Administration organization
Use Microsoft Office products and Security specific software/database programs to process JPAS visit requests
Function as backup for Visitor Control Clerks, capturing images and creating employee/non-employee badges
Maintain visitor and employee records relative to access control of the facility.
Issue parking passes, parking decals, and camera passes.
Promotes workplace safety by ensuring work areas are clean and free of obstructions
QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:
Excellent verbal communication skills
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
Able to learn new software programs quickly
Able to multi-task
Working knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP)
Working knowledge of Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS)
Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Ability to acquire and maintain a SECRET clearance required.
Five-years administrative experience minimum
Two-years Visitor Control experience preferred

DISCRETION EXERCISED: Limited to day-to-day administrative functions and tasks. Those actions which change, modify, or in some cases enforce policy, may not be executed without discussion with the FSO or the Director of Security.
LIAISES WITH: All departments, vendors, visitors, tenants and teammates

The Visitor Control Coordinator is expected to communicate and discuss all security matters with the FSO prior to forwarding to executive management.
