seekingtwoindependent
contractorsto serve as
Air PollutionControl (APC)
Hearing Officers.Preference
willbe given to persons
experienced in air pollution
control, environmental
management, engineering, law, arbitration, or dispute resolution.Applicantsmust
be residents of Nevada and shall not be employeesof
the State ofNevada or any other political subdivision
of the state. Compensation
is$70.00 per hourfor
hearing and preparatory
time only.Hearing Officers
arerequired to provide a
W-9formto thedepartment
prior tocommencement
ofservices.
Qualifications include agraduateof an accreditedfour-year college
with atleast fiveyears of experiencein public
administration. Duties include hearing cases of allegedviolations of local
air pollution control regulations.Upon determining a violation,
theofficer may assess
civilpenalties or impose
otherremedies.
