WHAT YOU'LL DO: This position plays a key role in managing Hancher's front office and day-to-day duties of the Office of Performing Arts and Engagement. This position reports to and supports work of the Executive Director of Hancher Auditorium and the Office of Performing Arts and Engagement and works closely with leadership and staff in Hancher and the Office of Performing Arts and Engagement.
The Administrative Services Coordinator r will also have the opportunity to:
Oversee day-to-day administration and office needs
Oversee contract administration
Manage scheduling and assist with HR processing
Manage Hancher and Performing Arts at Iowa historical archive
Serving as a positive, effective conduit between Hancher Auditorium-Office of Performing Arts and Engagement and the rest of the world (both internal university units and external partners.)

About the Department: The Office of Performing Arts and Engagement is a central unit that facilitates branding, collaboration, and strategic planning across the University of Iowa's performing arts units. As part of the Office of Performing Arts and Engagement, Hancher is a multidisciplinary arts presenter and an essential asset in establishing the University of Iowa as a first-choice destination performing arts campus. A bridge between a variety of constituents, Hancher Auditorium serves the university campus (faculty, students, and staff), the surrounding community (Iowa City-Cedar Rapids area and state of Iowa), and the field of performing artists.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work and education experience
Some (typically 1 year minimum) administrative experience in a professional setting
Demonstrates an EXTENSIVE proficiency level in:
Reading, writing, and oral communication
Organization of concepts and information
Effective project management
Patience
Exceptional customer service
Working with team members and external constituents who embody a wide a variety of perspectives
Desired:
1-3 years direct or related experience
Demonstrates an EXTENSIVE proficiency level:
Understanding and passion for the arts and education

Compensation: $45,000 to commensurate anticipated starting annual salary. Salary will be discussed at time of interviews.
