This new remote position will develop and lead the implementation of a communications strategy for Dartmouth College's Commitment to Care Strategic Plan for Student Mental Health and Wellbeing, a high-level institutional priority. This work will entail developing a robust communications infrastructure, informed by a strong knowledge of best practices in health and wellbeing communications and attentiveness to matters of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. It will also involve engagement with - and content development for - students, faculty, staff, alumni, and other stakeholders. The communications manager is assigned to the Office of the Chief Health and Wellness Officer (CHWO) and reports to the Senior Vice President for Communications

Content Development· Develops and implements a comprehensive strategic communications plan aligned with the vision of the Commitment to Care strategic plan and the priorities of the institution· Develops compelling, on-brand content for websites, news stories, newsletters, social media, video, spotlights, infographics, and presentations, consistently applying best practices in health and wellbeing communications to this work, along with considerations for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging· Designs tests (i.e., A/B testing) to improve the performance of website content, institutional messages, and other materials· In collaboration with the Office of the CHWO, maintains branding of Commitment to Care strategic plan collateral, in alignment with Dartmouth visual identity standards and messaging

Editing· Ensures that all messages, reports, newsletters, websites, and other materials, including verbal and visual content, adhere to Dartmouth's brand guidelines and are in the preferred voice of the Office of the CHWO and the Commitment to Care strategic plan· Acts as primary copy editor for IDE using Dartmouth style guidelines

Website Management· Maintains and updates mental health and wellbeing websites, including posting news stories and developing content· Writes engaging website content, including Q&A-style interviews, feature stories, and news items· Conducts content audits, creates site maps, migrates content, and performs other web-related duties

Coordination and Collaboration· Collaborates with colleagues in the Office of the CHWO and across Dartmouth to collect and modify content for newsletters· Collaborates with stakeholders to update content on websites, develop more user-friendly architecture, and make all content accessible, including PDFs· Collaborates with the Office of Communications to develop a library of images to support Dartmouth-wide messaging about student mental health and wellbeing

Analysis· Provides monthly reports on newsletter, social media, and website performance that analyze available metrics such as open rates and engagement, among other factors, making recommendations and conducting tests to improve performance
