Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson Foods will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.



This job posting is for 1st shift with a general work schedule of Monday through Friday, and Saturdays as scheduled. Work hours are generally 5:00 a.m. to 1:00/2:00 p.m. The base rate of pay is $20.70/hour. This job is eligible for overtime pay. Team members must be willing to work overtime and weekends, as needed.

Job Responsibilities:





  • Operates machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product through the production process and ensures proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line

  • Monitors and adjusts machine settings, as needed, and notifies supervisor if machines should require maintenance

  • Loads vats of meat product into dumper and dumps to hopper

  • Scans HU to process order

  • Operates forklift/mule in a safe and effective manner

  • Breaks down machinery at end of shift, and washes down hopper and dumper

  • All team members are responsible for safety, including but not limited to, personal safety and food safety

  • Complies with all company and USDA policies/guidelines and reports known or suspected violations

  • Attends monthly and annual required training (e.g., Safety, HACCP, HR topics, LOTO, PIT)

  • Performs other duties, as assigned




Job Requirements:





  • At least three (3) months of relevant operator experience with one or a combination of employers required

  • At least four (4) months of continuous employment with one employer in the past two (2) years required

  • Forklift/Mule/PIT experience preferred (training and certification is provided)

  • Basic computer skills to navigate systems and perform data entry.

  • Experience with inventory control methods preferred



  • Ability to perform accurate calculations by performing addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

  • Ability to work professionally and respectfully with others while demonstrating positive interpersonal skills, and communicates effectively with all team members and management

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness

  • Ability to identify, act with a sense of urgency, and resolve problems/inconsistencies, getting help from management or others, as needed



  • Ability to report to work as scheduled and work scheduled hours to meet job expectations, have flexibility to work other jobs, as needed, and work weekends and overtime, as needed

  • Ability to work in an environment where extreme temperatures range seasonally from hot/warm (i.e., 80-90°F) to cold (i.e., 20-40°F), where conditions may be damp and/or wet, and concrete floors may be slippery in some areas

  • Ability to climb up and down stairs/ladders to get to/from work areas, and work at elevated levels of various heights and in confined spaces, if needed

  • Requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching above, across, and below, and at shoulder level

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. below waist, at waist level, and above shoulder level

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions, flex/grip with wrists/hands, and use tools (e.g., box knife, metal scraper)

  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection (plugs or muffs), hair net / beard guard, steel-toed boots, and gloves
