As a team member, provide software development support and expertise to deliver a high-level of operational excellence in the day-to-day operations for the unclassified and classified Programs in Non-classified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNet) and Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet) hosted environments. Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments. Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems. May supervise others.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

* Provides customer support in the installation, maintenance, and servicing of computer systems programs, software, and operations to ensure that systems are functioning according to design specifications.

* Provides technical support and diagnoses and resolves system problems. Analyzes and documents users' functional and data requirements.

* Conducts research and analyzes technology information relative to tasking. Participates in the development of new systems or tailors commercial products to meet user requirements.

* Develops and conducts tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements.

* Develops documentation to describe system requirements and use.

* Analyzes and studies complex system requirements.

* Designs software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain analyses and manages their implementation.

* Manages software development and support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, other accepted design techniques, and CASE tools.

* Estimates software development costs and schedule.

* Reviews existing programs and assists in making refinements, reducing operating time, and improving current techniques.

* Oversees software configuration management.

* Specialized experience includes demonstrated use of interactive, interpretative systems with on-line, real-time IT engineering capabilities.

Education & Experience

* 3-7 years of relevant experience

Desired Experience:

* Demonstrated familiarity with Subversion, and Jira

* Oracle Unix/Linux, Oracle 19c, Microsoft SQL Server

* Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)

* SIPRNet

* Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)

* Web server (Apache, Iplanet, IBM HTTP Server and IIS) agent installations & configuration

* Experience with Directories (LDAP, AD)

* Experience setting up and installing software on both Windows and Unix (Linux, Sun, HP, AIX) platforms

* Experience with Databases (Oracle, Sybase, MSSQL, MySQL)

* Working knowledge of HTTP protocol; cookies, headers, response codes, and how to troubleshoot

* Working knowledge of LDAP protocol; searches, responses, and how to troubleshoot

* Excellent Linux and Windows system knowledge

* Experience with technical documentation writing / knowledgebase article creation

* Strong motivation to analyze and improve systems and infrastructure

Certifications

* CompTIA Security Plus-CE certification, or higher.

Security Clearance

* Candidate must have a Secret Clearance.

Other (Travel, Work Environment, DoD 8570 Requirements, Administrative Notes, etc.)

* Primarily Work from Home, with potential to attend occasional meetings at Fort Meade, MD.
