Job Description:

Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a local non-profit organization in the search for their next Grants Accountant. The Grants Accountant will report directly to the controller. This will be a hybrid position requiring three days per week in their office located in Washington, DC. Candidates with a history of using Sage Intacct will be given preference. Job Description

• Prepare, post, verify, and record funder payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.


• Create invoices using general ledger; submit invoices to funders.


• Maintain and update customer files, including point of contact or address changes.


• Draft correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections; identify delinquent accounts by reviewing files and contacting funders.


• Reconcile accounts receivable aging monthly.


• Ensuring adequate funding in bank accounts.


• Applying cash received to appropriate grant.


• Reconcile cash on monthly basis with GL and bank statement.


• Assist with annual audit by providing necessary documentation regarding grants receivables.


• Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and accuracy of grants receivable process.
