Under limited supervision, the program coordinator will teach courses, design and develop curriculum, evaluate adjunct personnel and student performance, and advise students on courses related to the Information Systems (IS) Department and Business Technology division. The primary responsibilities are planning and scheduling classes, recruiting, and assigning adjunct and full-time faculty for all department courses. The position includes programmatic development, data collection and reporting for accreditation, involvement in grant application and implementation, marketing/advertising of programs, and community engagement/outreach.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

This position requires a master's degree in computer science/Information Technology or a closely related field, including at least 18 graduate hours in computer coursework, and two (2) years of progressively responsible related work/teaching experience. College-level teaching experience in the field of information technology is also required.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience teaching at a community college or other post-secondary educational environment. Experience assisting with data collection and reporting for an ACBSP-accredited program is ideal. The successful candidate will have skills in programming (C++/C#, Java, Visual Basic, ASP/PHP) and Visual Studio.NET application development. Business experience in systems analysis and design is a plus. This position will also maintain office hours, teach at varying locations and sites, and have the ability to use varying teaching methods to include online teaching and accomplish course objectives. Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills are essential.
