Job Description Summary / TWC Summary:

The TRIO Programs staff will serve as the data analyst and statistics work in collaboration with TRIO Services to establish, implement, and assist with managing the various programs. Under general supervision creates systems for the handling of program participant data, analysis of participant data for program purposes as well as for reporting requirements to the funding agency, and the creation of methods to improve the efficiency of program operations.


This is a Grant Funded position.


Essential Duties Summary:



  • Collects data for submission of the annual performance report.

  • Coordinates tech support with OIT.

  • Assists Executive Director with departmental reports and university assessment/strategic plans.

  • Assists TRIO Data Entry Administrator with verifying and correcting data to ensure accuracy and completion of information entered in Blumen for all TRIO programs.

  • Uses department and University policies, practices and procedures to handle a variety of questions and problems. Gathers data and verifies accuracy of information on standard University forms.

  • Verifies and corrects departmental data to ensure accuracy and completion for both collegiate and pre-collegiate programs.

  • Oversee special data entry projects for Upward Bound, Upward Bound Math Science, Talent Search, McNair and SSS/SSS STEM programs.

  • Assists with updating TRIO policies and procedures as changes are made from the Department of Education.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Hiring Range:

$55,513.00 - $69,392.00


Education:

Degrees in other fields may be considered. Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience:

Minimum of 3 years TRIO/grant or similar experience required.


Working/Environmental Conditions:



  • Routine office environment.

  • Sitting or standing in one location much of the time.

  • Some stooping, lifting or carrying objects light weight may be required.

  • Use of video display terminal.
