Responsibilities



  • Assist on multiple transactions to develop pre-sale documents, bond sale documents, including the development of an official statement, and post-sale documents.

  • Work on the development and writing of clients' official statements, which is a document that is subject to oversight by the Securities Exchange Commission and must be accurate and complete, with no material misstatements or omissions. To develop this document, the Senior Financial Analyst, must:


    • Create a detailed data request customized for the client and the security for the transaction;

    • Research and compile needed data to incorporate into the offering document, including development backup documentation that adheres to a work program;

    • Incorporate legal covenants, financial information, and terms of the security into the offering document; and

    • Circulate the document to working group and coordinate updates to the offering document as well as ensuring that the document distribution remains on target.


  • Conduct bond sales, including the circulation of bond sale information to bidders and posting on market websites, compilation and analysis of bids received from market participants, and finalizing bond sale results.

  • Assist with client-related inquiries and participate on client calls, including rating agency and due diligence calls.

  • Development of post-issuance, secondary market reporting (continuing disclosure).

  • Conduct continuing disclosure compliance reviews.

  • Serve as a technical resource for staff and clients.

  • Coordinate with senior team members to develop and implement standardized procedures, work papers, and report templates to improve operational efficiency and mitigate risk


Preferred Skills



  • Knowledge and experience in the municipal bond industry is preferred

  • Analytical ability to understand and analyze data

  • Able to perform math functions quickly and accurately

  • Knowledge of spreadsheets, databases, and ability to conduct web-based research

  • Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, care, and accuracy in completing tasks.

  • Able to proof and edit documents and communications for grammar and organization

  • Able to proactively ask questions and request guidance or assistance

  • Able to seek opportunities for continuous work improvements


Qualifications





  • A Bachelor's degree in finance, public affairs, management, or a similar field of study

  • Preferred to have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the Municipal Advisory, Finance, legal or insurance industry

  • Is a registered municipal advisor (passed Series 50 exam), or will take the Series 50 exam to become a registered municipal advisor

  • Demonstrated analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills
