Salary: $35.00 USD Hourly - $38.00 USD Hourly

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Asset Management Analyst I (Software)
This will be a hybrid onsite role in Lynchburg, VA.

About the Role: The IT Software Asset Management Analyst is responsible for the enterprise-wide management of digital technology assets. This role involves gathering contract and entitlement information to create entitlements in the Software Asset Management System, enabling the creation of position reporting. The Analyst will manage both SaaS and on-premises software solutions and must have a comprehensive understanding of software licensing.


Technical Skills:


Must Have:

• Experience with application publishers including Alteryx, ServiceNow, Salesforce, Tableau, IBM, Oracle, Microsoft, and Adobe.


• Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Excel and Power BI.


• Prior experience with software tools like Flexera, ServiceNow, SCCM, Intune, and Nexthink.

Nice to Have:

• Certifications like ITIL, COBIT, or IAITAM are desirable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Populate software asset data into the Flexera software asset tracking system.


• Analyze software application license agreements and contracts to establish entitlements.


• Validate data across systems and the Flexera SAM tool.


• Manage reporting and recommend cost-saving software alternatives.


• Reconcile application deployment against licensing entitlements.


• Provide insights for license agreement renewals and procurement decisions.


• Monitor and report changes to license terms and conditions.


• Maintain the integrity of software asset data.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

• Detail-oriented with the ability to understand the broader business context.


• 2+ years of experience in software license management or a related field.


• Experience with Flexera, ServiceNow, SCCM, Intune, Nexthink, and other relevant tools.


• Strong understanding of IT Asset Management policies and practices.


• Experience with SAM tools and manual data reconciliation.


• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.


• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.


• IAITAM certifications (CSAM, CAMP) are a plus.
