Our Particleboard Facility in Diboll, Texas is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join their team. This is an experienced skilled crafts role that creates value by performing a variety of maintenance duties by ensuring maximum facility uptime to meet production goals.
Individuals in this role will work a DAY SHIFT .
Day Shift Work Schedule :
4-10 Schedule , 7:00am - 5:30am CST
5-8 Schedule , 7:00am - 3:30am CST
Our Team
Georgia-Pacific's Diboll particle board facility uses state of the art innovation and technology to manufacture particle board for the construction and cabinetry industry. Our particle board is used primarily in custom cabinetry and in self-assembled cabinetry sold by international furniture stores.
What You Will Do
Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and circuits
Maintain, program, and troubleshoot, Programmable Logic Controllers (AB PLC-5 and Control Logix) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
Maintain and troubleshoot circuits and components on pneumatic systems, control devices, and hydraulic equipment
Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics to troubleshoot and install equipment
Perform routine preventative maintenance on electrical equipment
Adhere to and promote all safety policies to include wearing all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (i.e. hard hats, safety glasses, face shield, chemical suit, respirator, ear plugs, hearing protection, steel-toe boots or safety shoes, plant provided FR clothing and other PPE required by specific jobs)
Perform work that includes lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling up to 12 hours a day
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Two or more years' of experience as an industrial electrician
Experience reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
What Will Put You Ahead
Two year technical degree or higher in industrial electrical maintenance or electrical engineering
Experience programming and troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
Experience installing, examining, replacing, or repairing Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) and motor controllers
Experience using a computer for record-keeping (CMMS), basic Microsoft excel and word
Experience or knowledge of spark detect systems
Experience with Chemical fire suppression systems
Experience with Mini Fog fire suppression systems
