Summary of the Position:
The material handler III obtains product to be processed. Brings packing materials to product line and removes unused materials. Scans items into work order and scans finished products into QAD system. The material handler III drives standup and/or sit-down forklift and completes all work order reporting, as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Drives stand-up and/or sit-down forklift to move product from staging line to production line. (60%)
Makes pallet ID labels. Completes work order reporting, as needed. (10%)
Completes daily check of PIT equipment to maintain safety. (10%)
Responsible for the accurate use and proper care of hand-held scanning equipment. (5%)
Assists other material handlers/scanners as needed. (5%)
Assists machine operators and supervisors as needed. (5%)
Maintains clean work area. (5%)
Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, SQF, and regulatory requirements.
Aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality.
Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management.
Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills and information within assigned team and across functional areas.
Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.

Qualifications:
Material Handler II experience
Forklift driving license or certification
Level III power equipment license (JBSS) required
Able to speak, write, and read English
Basic math skills required
Must have good manual dexterity and vision
Ability to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
