Job Description:

Cizik School of Nursing at UTHealth Houston located in the Texas Medical Center , the largest healthcare complex in the world is recruiting faculty for the academic rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor.

POSITION KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Teaches and actively maintains research productivity
• Develops a funded program of scientific research.
• Provides direct patient care activities through clinical practice opportunities with affiliated hospitals and other healthcare organizations.
• Instructs didactic coursework (online and classroom as appropriate) and mentors students.

Other scholarly/institutional service responsibilities will be determined in coordination with the Department Chair.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Doctoral degree in nursing or related field (Ph.D., DrPH).
• Eligibility for licensure as a registered nurse in Texas.

PREFERRED:

• MSN or related discipline
• Funded post-doctoral fellowship or history of federal funding as a principal investigator (Faculty on the tenure-track).

Depending upon the specialty area (e.g. CRNA, NP-BC).
