The Office of Development and Alumni Engagement is recruiting Digital Ambassadors roles to inspire supporters to contribute to our annual giving program.

Position Overview:

SDA team members for the Stevens annual giving program will act as the primary liaison between the institution and prospective donors. Using video communication, email, social media, and text messaging. SDAs will engage with alumni, students, parents, and friends of the institution throughout the year, educating the Stevens community about the impact and significance of giving.

Job Description:

• Participate in all aspects of video production to generate a steady stream of video projects.


• Produce and edit simple, authentic videos to capture compelling content of campus activites.


• Script and storyboard individual and/or team videos.


• Act as on-camera talent for the videos produced by you and your fellow SDA teammates.


• Attend campus events or conduct interviews to provide alumni and supporters with an inside look at Stevens campus life.


• Create messaging that engages with students, alumni, parents, and friends of the university through multiple channels to inspire philanthropic giving.

General Qualifications:

• You must be a current Federal Work Study at Stevens Institute of Technology


• Proficiency on multiple social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.


• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.


• Excellent oral, written, and digital communication skills, including public speaking experience.


• Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, possess computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Data Entry, Outlook), attention to detail, punctuality, reliability, professionalism, and use professional judgment.


• Availability during the academic year, including regular business hours, some nights, and weekends.


• Hours worked may not exceed 20 hours without explicit approval from Supervisor. While we strive to accommodate student academic/personal schedules.


• No other on-campus employment permitted while working in this position.
