We are seeking a full-time Flight Operations Support Specialist in our Scottsdale, AZ location. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical customer service/support related to transport category aircraft performance and weight & balance activities. You'll be the main point of contact for customers as well as manage customer aircraft configurations, performance questions, change requests, and aircraft weight & balance changes.
Essential Functions
Manage customer aircraft configurations, provide counsel on intermediate to advanced aircraft performance questions, and handle change requests/aircraft weight & balances changes
Direct needed escalation inquires to proper departments
Serve as first-level customer contact, receiving and answering moderately complex to complex questions, inquiries and requests pertaining to Garmin's aircraft performance products
Resolve, track and/or route moderately complex to complex customer issues or requests
Demonstrate proficiency in delivering technical support for Garmin aircraft performance and/or load planning products
Support testing and deployment of Garmin products/solutions
Contribute to technical writing and publication of aircraft performance data materials
Contribute to and enhance development of customer training materials
Lead project management functions and special projects as assigned
Investigate and determine root cause of operational events and failures
Identify issues with aircraft performance and/or load planning and support development of corrective actions
Ability to travel for customer support and training
Participate in after hours on-call rotation
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in aerospace, business or related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 3 years relevant experience (external candidates)
Demonstrated mastery in performing Flight Operations Support Specialist 1 essential functions and a minimum of 2 years as a Flight Operations Support Specialist 1
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
Desired Qualifications
Previous work experience in Air Traffic Control, Flight Dispatching, Flight Operations or Aviation Program/Project Management.
Strong technical knowledge of aviation systems
Private Pilot's License
