Field Technical Support



BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Field Technical Support role at Denver, CO!

Position Title: Field Technical Support

Location- Denver, CO

Anticipated Start Date: Tentative start Date 08/01/2024.

Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date.

Expected Duration: 24+ Months with a Strong possibility of Extension.

Job Type: Contract 40hr week/Onsite

Pay Range: $20/hr to $26.29/hr on W2.

(Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Job Duties:




  • Manage onsite printer fleet

  • Ensure that device and contact details are kept up to date in system

  • Upgrade firmware, as needed

  • Respond to customer trouble tickets in timely manner and ensure that they are resolved

  • Clear paper jams

  • Manage supplies inventory at customer location

  • Manage and resolve customer service tickets, as assigned

  • Assist Customer with an overview of the Device functionality;

  • Coordinate with regarding Device and Branded Software Support Service calls;

  • Report any occurrences of Customer dissatisfaction to the appropriate Delivery Management Service resource;

  • Assist in the collection of usage pages for Devices when required;

  • Provide initial troubleshooting for Device problems or perform spare Device replacements;

  • Perform basic maintenance on Devices as directed by the appropriate Delivery Management Service resource;

  • Provide end-user training as needed

  • Utilize web-based software to manage the Fleet which may include proactive monitoring through Web Jetadmin, updating site maps provided after the Discovery and Design Assessment Service and initiating Device related trouble tickets into the Customer supplied ticketing system;

  • Track usage/activities at the Customer Site(s);

  • Ensure that device network and contact information is updated in the HP system

  • Manage utilization of On-Site spare Device inventory when required under the applicable SSOW;

  • Coordinate with third party supplier(s) to obtain status for third party supplier(s) provided equipment.

  • Install new devices and coordinate with other customer teams for networking and configuration of devices
