Your Opportunity as the Graphic Designer



The Graphic Designer will be a key member of the in-house creative team. This individual will provide creative design support for our Smucker Away from Home portfolio of brands, including frozen handheld foods, spreads, coffee, sweet baked snacks and pet food/snacks. This team member's work will directly influence consumers' and B2B customers' perceptions of these brands.


Creative executions may include (but are not limited to) integrated B2B marketing campaigns, sizzle/sales video development/storyboarding, digital banner ad campaigns, social media content, trade show event materials, sales presentations, photo and video direction, in-store point-of-sale (POS) signage and a variety of sales collateral.



Location: Orrville, Ohio



Work Arrangements: Hybrid (onsite approximately 6 days per month, mostly during core weeks determined by the Company)



In this role you will:

• Interpret creative briefs and other direction, translating complex inputs into simple solutions that move the target audiences and support business needs
  
  


• Apply existing campaign style guides and key visuals to various tactics, adapting B2C design work for B2B audiences as needed
  
  


• Develop all-new concepts and designs as needed
  
  


• Tailor creative versions for various business channels and audiences, including broker networks, wholesalers and food service customers.
  
  


• Consult with subject matter experts and stakeholders, and present work to internal clients/partners as needed
  
  


• Provide strategic rationale for recommendations
  
  


• Apply feedback, data-driven insights and other learnings to continually improve the work
  
  


• Collaborate with Creative Content Managers/Project Managers, Copywriters, Videographers, Photographers and others
  
  


• Provide guidance to others, including interns, contractors and external partners as appropriate
  
  


• Ultimately help drive the growth of both iconic and up-and-coming brands

What we are looking for:



Minimum Requirements:

• BA/BS in Graphic Design or similar degree
  
  


• 3-5 years of graphic design experience
  
  


• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud on the Mac platform, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  
  


• Strong portfolio of design work
  
  


• Strategic, critical thinker with the ability to effectively interpret creative briefs and other inputs
  
  


• Strong sense of urgency, and ability to maintain creative excellence while meeting fast-paced deadlines
  
  


• Self-starter with proven ability to balance multiple projects at once
  
  


• Outstanding attention to detail
  
  


• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
  
  

Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:

• Video editing and animation skills
  
  


• Prior agency experience
  
  


• Experience with consumer-packaged goods (CPG) food and beverage brands
