What You Will Contribute:
The Lead Distribution Coordinator will be primarily responsible in assisting the Distribution Supervisor in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Distribution Department by exercising initiative and independent judgment in the performance of assigned tasks.
Job Duties:
- Assign duties and/or examines work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Have knowledgeable of all jobs in the Distribution department to ensure proper training, continuity of workflow, and adherence to schedules.
- Coordinates with the Distribution staff, department leads, managers, and personnel to assess and adjust the variability of people and workflow to accommodate the labor load.
- Functions as a liaison between the Distribution Supervisor and Distribution employees.
- Assist department staff in solving problems with workflow, machinery, and personnel. May make recommendations regarding discipline of Distribution staff.
- Keeps work instructions up-to-date by continuously observing procedures for changes in processes or technology.
- Ensures that the industrial-powered-truck log books are being filled out correctly and on a per-shift basis; equipment/tools are being properly maintained.
- Maintains an organized layout and safe work environment.
- Performs related duties as assigned by the Distribution Supervisor or Manager.
Qualifications:
- High School degree
- 3+ years of distribution experience
