We are currently seeking a physician to work in accordance with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Lebanon VAMC.


The physician(s) shall have a current license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia) when services are performed onsite on VA property.


All licenses held by the personnel working on this contract shall be full and unrestricted licenses. Board Certification:


Physician(s) shall be Board Certified /Board Eligible Gastroenterologist by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and be currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalency.


All continuing education courses required for maintaining certification must be kept up to date at all times.


HOURS OF OPERATION:


VA Business Hours:


Outpatient Clinic Services for Gastroenterology, Endoscopy Procedures, Inpatient Gastroenterology consultations for Medical Care.


Regular hours Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm,


Weeknight Call - M/F 4:30pm to 8am, Weekend/Holiday Call - Sat./Sun. 24/7, call back and OT. Patients must be seen by a physician(s) on-site at the office in a timely manner in accordance with VA Rules and Regulations on clinic wait times and consult completion.


Contractor shall notify the COR at least monthly about any obstacles to meeting this performance measure.


Currently, normal clinic hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm.


Off-hours Coverage:


Physician(s) must be available on-call during all hours when the clinic is closed, including evenings, weekends and holidays.


On-call services for after hour coverage (4:30pm to 8:00am) and 24-hour coverage for weekend and Federal Holidays.


In an emergency or on-call situation physician must respond within 15 minutes.


Must be able to report to VA Facility within 60 minutes of receipt of the phone call.


On-call physician(s) must be available at all times for phone consultations with VA residents and physicians
