Job Description Summary



This position is responsible for grading finished product and supporting FSQ programs for Boardman Pack Center.



Job Description



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.




  • Test quality of finished product using written standards

  • Examine characteristics of finished product - color, blemishes, defects

  • Record data on a computer-based program

  • Audit production processes - bag seals, product codes, etc.

  • Clean and maintain laboratory equipment

  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.

  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

  • Maintain a neat and clean work area at all times and exhibit good personal hygiene.

  • Report any concerns to QA Leadership Team

  • Participate in training new team members

  • Perform all duties associated with assigned lines

  • Maintain a neat and clean work area at all times, and exhibit good personal hygiene.

  • Ability to work overtime when needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the QA Manager.

Skills and Experience:



  • Ability to read and write in English.

  • Must be able to use a computer for data entry, report generation and research.

  • Ability to effectively present information to supervisors and other employees.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.

  • Read, understand, and obey all plant rules and practice safety as outlined in the employee handbook.




Physical Environment/Demands:





  • Be able to sit, stand, walk, and climb.

  • Have good hand-eye coordination.

  • Have normal finger dexterity and range of motion.

  • Be able to lift up to 10 - 20lbs

  • Have specific vision abilities required by this job, which include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Required to reach with his/her hands and arms repetitively.

Work Environment


  • May be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.

  • Will work around forklift traffic.

  • Noise level is high.

  • Will work in cold or freezing environments on and off.
