Job Description:

Revolutionize Wholesale and join a high performing sales team and drive growth for True Value in Maryland, Virginia and Delaware and the surrounding areas. We are a dynamic team committed to driving True Value’s aggressive growth as the only nationally branded hardlines wholesaler that celebrates independent retailers.


Provides focused retail operational consulting while developing pro-active partnerships in your assigned territory (Maryland, Virginia and Delaware) to become the retailers "Trusted Partner" in all aspects of their business.  Increases True Value Company sales and customer’s retail sales and profitability.  Partners with Retailers to assess business needs, develop agreed upon solutions and create action plans to ensure mutual goals are achieved.   


The Retail Business Partner can live in the following cities and/or the surrounding areas - Washington, DC and Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Responsibilities: (May perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned).


1.        Grows True Value Company’s sales within the assigned territory in Maryland, Virginia and Delaware


2.        Guides Retailers on why and how to achieve retail excellence which includes improvement in gross margin, cash flow, expense management, return on investment, customer service, brand management, merchandise mix, planograms, labor optimization, store experience and inventory management (60% of the time).


3.        Crafts tailored solutions that address customer’s challenges, positioning ourself as a trusted partner.


4.        Collaborates with multi-dimensional teams to ensure seamless implementation of solutions and client satisfaction (20% of the time).


5.        Continuously analyzes market trends and customer feedback to identify opportunities for sales growth and develop strategies to capitalize on them.


6.        Partners with New Business Team to grow the number of store locations.


7.        Works with new and existing retailers and Retail Implementation Team to refresh stores to increase efficiency and profitability (20% of the time).


Education & Experience:


·       Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers and internal stakeholders.


·       Proven track record of consultative selling and solution-oriented approach.


·       Strong financial acumen with the ability to understand and articulate financial concepts.


·       Results-driven mindset with a passion for achieving exceptional customer experience and exceeding sales targets.


·       Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with effective time management skills.


·       Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience


·       Strong skills to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, Customer Relationship Management (CRM).

Work Environment: Generally, works in a home office setting. When travelling work will be done in a retail environment.


Travel: Average 3-4 days of travel weekly to various customer retail stores.
