Internal Candidate Eligibility Criteria:

1. Is a Lincoln Electric employee with at least 1 year of service
2. Is NOT on an active Performance Improvement Plan (PIP)




Summary Sets up and operates machines and provides line support according to standard operating procedures by performing the following duties.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.



  • Uses all safety equipment on machinery as well as all personal protective equipment properly.

  • Loads and unloads reels and spools.

  • Fills out quality tags, production reports, finished product sheets, and tracking sheets accurately.

  • Strings up wire through dancer and solvent tank.

  • Sets-up wipes for solvent tank.

  • Sets count on machine drive motors and acorn drive units.

  • Runs different size wire on all spool sizes.

  • Performs machine inspection for all Aluminum equipment.

  • Troubleshoots wire and/or machine problems.

  • Performs smoke test.

  • Properly stacks and wraps product.

  • Runs shrink and stretch wrap machines.

  • Performs solvent tank checks and changes filters when needed.

  • Identifies different types of spools used.

  • Starts and shuts down drawing lube & solvent systems.

  • Operates the scrapper.

  • Puts stock in proper location.

  • Makes labels.

  • Charges and replaces charcoal drums for solvent.

  • Uses appropriate measurement equipment to confirm product characteristics

  • Operates material handling equipment

  • Keeps work area clean.

Education and/or Experience



High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.



Language Skills



Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.



Mathematical Skills



Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.



Reasoning Ability



Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
