Job Description:

The Meta Wearables team focuses on delivering Meta's vision through Augmented Reality (AR). As a Technical Program Manager, your job will be figuring out what we need to do to build it and deliver it. You'll be a critical member of a multi-disciplinary team contributing to our efforts to build the Audio SW Platform that will be used for Meta's Wearable products.As a Technical Program Manager for Audio, you will play a key role in the definition, planning and execution of our next generation programs. You will guide a broad cross-functional team across the phase gated software development process, including planning of features and requirements, managing schedules, identifying and tracking risks and associated mitigations, and managing a system level audio platform. You will be responsible for communication of program status and risk to program stakeholders. In this role, you will have a major impact on future products. To be successful, you will need to eliminate barriers to your team's success, clearly communicating results to all stakeholders and ensuring that the big picture stays in focus while delving into the details on specific issues. Technical Program Manager, Audio Systems Responsibilities:



  • Work with the software engineering team to define and deliver high quality software solutions to create an Audio platform.

  • Provide key stakeholders with full visibility of the program schedule, progress and potential roadblocks.

  • Proactively identify technical, legal, procedural, logistical, and communication issues and drive creative solutions to fix them and manage risk.

  • Ensure that the information your team needs is complete, current, accurate, and accessible.

  • Coordinate communication between internal and external teams and partners.

  • Maintain the team's focus on strategy and goal-oriented results when tackling complex problems.

  • Communicate program status, risks and mitigation plans on a regular cadence, including directly to leadership.





Minimum Qualifications:



  • 8+ years of technical program management experience

  • B.S. in Computer Science, EE or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience

  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating complex and ambiguous projects with a variety of stakeholders

  • Experience developing software for a hardware device

  • Experience building and managing relationships across teams and disciplines both inside and outside of the organization

  • Experience in translating product requirements into executable plans

  • Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and partners in different time zones





Preferred Qualifications:



  • Expertise with Audio software development for consumer electronics

  • Experience organizing complex and long term research or product road maps

  • Prior experience with building and shipping SW for wearable or mobile products

$167,000/year to $230,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits


Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
