Position Summary

Performs all maintenance functions for the company’s manufacturing operation. This includes developing and implementing preventative maintenance measures, developing SOP’s for all equipment maintenance, hands-on maintenance activities, collaborate with contractors and vendors, and promoting an efficient and safe culture throughout the plant.

Examples of Essential Duties

Including the following, other duties may be assigned.

· Hands-on maintenance and repair of plant and equipment. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues. Equipment includes crushing, screening, dust collectors, packaging equipment, motors, conveyor belts, pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps and gearbox repairs.

· Safety Compliant and knowledge of Lock/Out- Tag/Out procedures, etc.

· Plan and organize all short term and long-term maintenance, minimizing downtime

· Perform and document all scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance activity.

· Maintain spare parts inventory and their locations.

· Ensure all equipment has documented operating procedures and all manuals are kept up to date.

· Weld, cut and assemble metals and other materials with precision to maintain plant equipment and facilities.

· Performs all general building maintenance. Keep the building and grounds in a clean and orderly condition by examining on a regular basis for needed repairs, maintenance, and cleanliness.

· Operating machines as needed (ie.: Wheel loader, forklift, backhoe)

Education/Experience

Requires a High School diploma and/or GED, and at least 5 years of experience plus hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment including mechanical, electrical, and equipment maintenance. At least 1 year in welding. Ability to administratively manage and perform preventative maintenance programs. Ability to work second shift and/or weekends when necessary.

Computer skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working knowledge of MS Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret assembly guides. Ability to effectively communicate verbally with others.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with multiple abstract and concrete variables

Travel Requirements

To perform this job successfully an individual must have the means and ability to travel locally based on business need.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear and to perform medium to heavy work which involves frequently climbing ladders and stairs to inspect, maintain and repair equipment, frequent standing and walking for extended periods of time and the ability to lift 80 pounds. Environmental Hazards: Frequent outdoor exposure to the full range of weather conditions. Requires controlled exposure to dust and loud noise. Requires controlled exposure to dust and loud noise.
