The Happy Teacher Project team at the University of Oklahoma and the Early Childhood Education Institute (ECEI) at OU-Tulsa is looking for a Psychological Wellness Coach for early childhood teachers. Our Happy Teacher Project team has implemented an innovative interdisciplinary intervention to promote Early Head Start/Head Start teachers and leaders’ well-being and competence in Oklahoma.
Psychological Wellness Coaches will meet with participating teachers to assess and improve their mental health and wellness. Each semester, coaches will be assigned a number of teachers to coach and mentor for ten weeks. Coaches will meet with each participant three times during the intervention. Experience with coaching clients or patients in mental health and wellness will be helpful in this position, along with a working understanding of early childhood programs and the teachers who work in them.
We are looking for people who have scheduling flexibility, can travel to early childhood sites statewide, and have experience in mentoring/coaching others.
Representative Duties Include:
This part-time position would be ideal for those with scheduling flexibility. The hourly rate for this position is $32 - $36 per hour. We estimate anywhere from 30-120 hours per semester will be required.
