Job Overview:

Performs professional level duties related to Human Resources, including responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, temporary workers, recruitment, compliance, events/recognition, employment files, compile reports, data entry, and exceptional customer service to the employee population.

This is a part-time and temporary position. Approximately 20 hours/week and 3 month assignment. The assignment could extend longer

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Conducts new hire screening, background check, assist in on-boarding and orientation. May support some recruiting / interviewing of non-exempt roles
  • Responsible for completion and accuracy of personnel files, including I-9s, conducts audits as needed
  • Coordinates employee recognition programs, events and lunches
  • Works with HR Manager on staffing needs.
  • Assists in development and evaluation of reports and data as needed
  • Support some onboarding and training preparation for new hires
  • Assist with scanning for various departments
  • Supports organization of office supplies
  • Support administrative task for departments outside of HR
  • Helps to greet visitors

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • General knowledge of HR practices preferred
  • Excellent communication skill, including written and verbal.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • General knowledge of HRIS systems
  • Able to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and professional discretion
  • Ability of multi-task, communicate progress and meet deadlines

Education and Experience

  • Manufacturing experience desired
  • 1 year experience in Human Resources or related course work
