Role reports to: Vice President, Manufacturing - North America

Location: Lititz, PA

What you will do

Direct the activities of the manufacturing plant which includes direct responsibility and oversight for Production & Packaging, Logistics & Warehouse, Maintenance, Project Management/ Business Excellence/Strategy. Lead the Plant Leadership Team coordinating a multi- functional team which includes, in addition to the direct responsibilities and functions, Quality Assurance & Compliance, Human Resources, Finance, Site Materials Planning, Facilities, Technical Operations and Environmental Health, Safety & Sustainability (EHS&S).

At this level, the position has direct accountability for the development of the business and functional strategies in line with the site mission and the regional OKR (Objectives & Key Results) and direct responsibility to lead multiple teams of professionals to deliver excellence in execution of the strategies and deliver the business key performance metrics.

Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations, the Company's policies, procedures and guidelines, this position is responsible for:

• Quality and compliance:

o Ensures the Quality System is regularly audited/reviewed and that appropriate preventive and corrective actions are identified and executed to improve quality results.

o Ensures fulfillment of all Safety, Occupational Health, industrial hygiene, environmental and labor regulatory requirements.

o Embraces a behavior of employee involvement and commitment to doing the job right the first time.

o Seeks prompt identification, reporting and correction of deviations in the workplace as noted by employees.

• Strategy

o Drives execution of projects to achieve target goals for quality and compliance and supply chain process and manages costs associated to the operational execution.

o Leads and provides direction to direct reports and Plant Leadership Team in the attainment of operations, quality and compliance goals.

o Works effectively with other sites on a global basis to share good practices and demonstrate mutual accountability for the success of all facilities.

o Develops and maintains effective relationships with internal and external customers, regulators and other stakeholders.

o Develops and maintains an effective organization through selection, training, leadership and management.

o Sponsors and provides the leadership required to achieve the site, regional and global objectives and contributes to the development of the site leaders and members.

• Organization

o Provides direction and ensures human resources calendar activities are completed effectively and on a timely basis.

o Recommends and implements employee development programs to raise associates' capabilities across areas such as leadership, lean, digitalization and analytics.

o Develops solid pipeline plans that have "ready now" associates for all direct reports and other key positions.

o Creates a compelling work environment in which every associate is valued and recognized for their contributions to the business success. This includes setting and executing site communication strategies and forums.

o Sets priorities and keeps others focused on the most critical goals and objectives.

o Fosters a culture of collaboration for a strong and cohesive extended Plant Leadership Team.

o Accountable for the assurance of proper operations of all manufacturing equipment and processes.

o Actively support the Lean initiatives within the site and ensure the achievement of challenging Lean objectives to improve the effectiveness of the organization.

o Makes effective financial and operational decisions to positively impact both short and long-term site objectives

o Create, establish and maintain an environment that promotes leadership behaviors, teamwork and commitment at the site across all levels.

o Takes an active leadership role representing the site and Company in the local community

o Sets contract negotiation strategy and priorities; maintains a positive working relationship with Union Executive Board.

• Financial

o Define the financial resource needs to ensure adequate resources are allocated to the plant to enable a compliant execution of the business plans.

o Continuously and successfully monitors the key metrics and program status to meet the Business Plan.

o Drives identification and successfully implements cost improvement projects (CIPs).

o Fulfills all business plan financial requirements for cash flow, operating budget and capital investment.

What we are looking for

o Bachelor's degree in chemistry, engineering, or a related technical discipline. Master's degree preferred.

o Ten or more years of previous Operations experience to include direct, hands-on production management and Senior Management experience in Operations Leadership positions.

Experience in Logistics and/or Quality and Compliance and/or other related operations functions is preferred.

o Prior experience in Pharmaceutical manufacturing with knowledge of FDA and International Compliance requirements, it is preferred

o Prior experience in leading organizations through a continuous improvement and performance management culture. Fluent in Process Excellence and Lean techniques is desirable. Prefer Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification or equivalent working proven experience.

The anticipated base pay range for this role is $160,000 to $276,000.
