Job Summary / Basic Function:


Job Summary:The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge in the analyzer technology career field. The qualified applicant will be involve in a fast-paced, educational setting, teaching analyzer technology courses. Instructor should have experience, expertise, and the ability to effectively teach in various analyzer fields. Instructor will provide support to students and fellow instructors, work in a lab setting providing hands-on instruction with safety in min, keep accurate records of student achievement, and assist with student recruiting, advising, and registration.

Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Provide direction to increasing student retention and recruitment efforts.

  • Demonstrate skill and/or knowledge in the teaching discipline.

  • Make continuous efforts to improve the quality of instruction by reviewing and utilizing innovative methodologies, techniques, and delivery methods.

  • Plan, develop, and use a variety of teaching methods and materials that assist students in meeting course objectives and which are appropriate for students with differing educational and experiential background and learning styles.

  • Evaluate students to measure their progress toward achievement of stated course objectives and inform them of their progress in the course in a timely manner.

  • Teach courses at a variety of times and locations in response to institutional needs.

  • Provide access to students through posted office hours, electronic communication, and other appropriate methods.

  • Provide advice and assistance to students regarding instructional or program-specific issues.





Physical Requirements:This position requires the ability to: remain in a stationary position for most of the time; occasionally move about inside an office to access documents, office equipment, etc.; constantly operate a computer or other office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • An AAS in Instrumentation with at least 5 years of instrumentation experience.

  • A minimum of three (3) years non-teaching analyzer experience in the field.

  • A minimum of three (3) years teaching experience is preferred
