Team Overview

As a Senior Technical Architect specializing in Oracle Cloud Applications, you will play a pivotal role in implementing a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.  This system will be inclusive of Human Capital Management (HCM), Finance, and Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) and will be an Oracle Cloud Applications Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution.  This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the digital transformation of our organization and drive efficiency and innovation in our processes.

You will work with other architects to define the target-state and transitional-state architectures for HCM, Finance, and ICM at Edward Jones.  Using and informing enterprise strategies, you will build technology roadmaps at both the organizational and functional levels.  Your architecture will encompass SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and on-premises applications.  You will be mentoring agile teams in the integration of functionality across multiple platforms. 

What You'll do

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, assess business processes, and develop comprehensive technical solutions.


• Design and architect the implementation of the new ERP (HCM, Finance and ICM) cloud SaaS solution, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and best practices.


• Design and architect the integration of the new ERP cloud SaaS solution to other SaaS and on-premises applications.


• Develop comprehensive architecture diagrams, solution designs, and technical documentation.


• Provide technical expertise and guidance to development teams throughout the implementation process.


• Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure the solution meets quality standards and regulatory requirements.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Technology, Finance, HR, and operations, to ensure successful implementation and integration of the solution.


• Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions for enhancing system performance and scalability.

Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices in all aspects of system design and implementation

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.


• 15+ years of experience across multiple technology areas. with  5+ years as a Solution Architect, with a focus on implementing Oracle ERP (HCM, Finance, and ICM) cloud SaaS solutions in a complex environment.


• In-depth knowledge of Oracle Cloud Application architecture, configuration, and customization.


• Deep understanding of cloud computing principles and experience with leading cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).


• Experience designing integration solutions between SaaS and on-premises applications.


• Strong knowledge of HCM and Finance systems.


• Proven exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with leadership, stakeholders, and technical teams.


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.


• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and drive consensus.


• Oracle Cloud certifications (i.e., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, OCI Architect Associate, Oracle HCM or ERP Cloud Applications) is a plus.


• Experience working in the financial services industry is a plus.
