Intern, Infotainment & Digital Services Development Engineering at BMW of North America in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey

Job Description:

This is a full-time internship position for our Fall Rotation, from September 9, 2024 through December 20, 2024 in Woodcliff Lake, NJ.

This intern will support engineers in various project tasks as needed. Major emphasis of the role will be support with validation of pre-production software and hardware.

Key Responsibilites:

• Execute US-specific validation for assigned components and/or feature set.


• Ensure proper calibration of data acquisition equipment and correct vehicle test HW/SW configuration.


• Report project status and test results to BMW engineering using the standard BMW reporting tools (e.g. Brian, Octane) and other agreed methods.


• Support the development process by validating pre-integration software in vehicle and/or on devices/apps depending on project need.


• Create and maintain test cases for current and future system features.

The hourly rate for Graduate students is $36.80

The selected student's academic level will be used to determine the final pay rate. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor or master's degree program at an accredited college or university


• Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)


• Have completed at least 30 college credit hours at time of application


• Field of study: Engineering (Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical)


• Must attach a copy of college unofficial transcript


• Ability to work full-time (36.25 hours/week)


• Prior BMW Group experience (applicable to international J1 students only)


• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Proactive, Collaborative, Strong Team Player


• Initiative and ability to work independently
