Temp Superintendent at HAYS in district of columbia, Washington DC

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be comfortable overseeing the entire operation of the construction site. They should be able to determine and address any risk areas in order to maintain the safety of workers. This candidate should be experienced in communicating project milestones with clients and other parties, and be able to establish a timeline for completion. Projects include retail and commercial office interior fit-out and renovations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of construction projects
• Ensure safety, compliance and quality regulations are followed
• Communicate project progress with clients and project managers
• Manage subcontractors and construction site organization, update sub-contractors on any changes
• Maintaining a log on their projects and providing daily updates
• Communicating with Project Manager and Operations Manager
• Enforcing all building rules and regulations
• Adhering to the project budget

• 1 - 10 years of experience in construction area Strong project management and communications skills
• Ability to read construction documents
• Familiarity with regulatory construction standards
• High School degree or equivalent required
• Drafting/Architecture coursework preferred
• Must Possess valid Driver's License and vehicle
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Knowledge in commercial building construction/ tenant fit-out desired
• Excellent Communication skills
