What We Are Looking For

3D Systems, a global leader in 3D printing solutions, is seeking a dedicated individual to support, identify, distinguish, and analyze multiple components of a problem and then make conclusions using high-level quantitative skills to help drive projects and bring value to operations. Participate in driving operations processes for specific areas of responsibilities and complete project tasks as assigned by managers. As a Buyer 1 in procurement for a complex parts supply chain, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing critical components while ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery to support production schedules. This role involves managing vendor relationships, placing purchase orders using purchase signals from Oracle MRP, and using PowerBI metrics to track supplier performance as well as maintain appropriate levels for inventory. What You Will Need

Use strategic thinking to see the big picture, determine the problem and understand fundamental parts of the problem.

Prepare and deliver insights and recommendations based on analyses.

Develop dashboards and regularly updated reporting to help track different metrics across the global procurement organization.

Facilitate problem-solving sessions with cross functional teams to provide input on analytics use, tracking and improvement.

Synthesize findings and derive conclusions from analyses and make oral/written recommendations to management.

Execute tasks related to core operations projects and/or process improvements.

Execute day to day processes related to their areas of responsibility.

Communicate issues and roadblocks related to their areas of responsibility.

Regularly meet with key suppliers to ensure delivery of parts and materials necessary for the supply chain. Track and manage supplier performance using a supplier score card set of metrics.

Issue purchase orders, track shipments, and ensure timely delivery of goods while maintaining accurate records of orders and supplier performance.

When necessary execute the return to vendor process and provide regular updates on replacement part status to our production team.

Education and Training

Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, supply chain, or a related field.

At least (1) years of procurement experience in a related industry.

Proficiency in using software such as Power BI and other relevant software

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

Knowledge of Oracle MRP is a plus
