Role Summary

Leads the Producer Licensing & Commissions Operations Teams to ensure timely and accurate payment by means of various compensation channels. Producer Operations includes Producer Licensing & Appointments, Producer Commissions, and Producer Operations Systems Support . This position will have direct oversight of the managers and their teams that support the processing and payment of producer commissions for U.S. Employer, Supplemental Health and IFP business segments, and are responsible for producer onboarding, licensing and appointments for those segments as well as Global Health Benefits and Small Group (Cigna + Oscar). This leader must be knowledgeable about Sales and Underwriting processes, driving continuous improvement through identification and pursuit of opportunities to improve effectiveness and/or efficiency in the end-to-end commissions processes, while ensuring completeness, accuracy and timeliness of payments. Extensive partnership with business leaders across the enterprise will be critical to success in resolving issues that may delay processing and payment of commissions.

Responsibilities

• Direct management of the managers responsible for leading the Commission Operations Teams in support of multiple business segments.

• Develop and maintain effective partnerships with internal business segment leaders and functional operations partners to ensure critical objectives relative to producer commissions are considered and met.

• Proactively identify process gaps and work collaboratively with business and technology partners regarding corrective actions.

• Drive change and influence others within and across the organization. Acts as a change leader, exhibiting managerial courage, delivering transparent and accurate messages to leadership and staff

• Effectively manage multiple projects and drive them to resolution

• Provide meaningful updates to Senior Management, Finance and Sales Leadership in a timely and effective manner

• Foster positive relationships with internal and external contacts in order to build mutual trust, credibility and demonstrate commitment to achieving business objective in a compliant manner

• Manage and guide the development of training programs for internal team members as relating to process, procedures, compliance rules and or systems

• Lead or assist with responding to complex producer requests engaging internal business partners, legal and external Producers as appropriate.

• Foster culture of continuous process improvement and proactive risk identification and escalation, working with team and management.

• Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, Salesforce and other and database management systems preferred.

• Knowledge of Cigna products, systems and sales distribution models preferred.

• Superior verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills required.

• Excellent time management skills with ability to multi-task in deadline driven environment with competing priorities.

• Ability to work and make decisions independently.

• Ability to think strategically and generate new ideas about how to improve current processes.

• Typically requires Bachelor's or equivalent training and mastery; minimum 5 years insurance experience; or any combination of education and experience.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 118,200 - 197,000 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
