Job Description: GDH is hiring a Web App Tester & Business Analyst to work with our client, an innovative defense, space, and intelligence solutions provider.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical applicant who will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of web applications while also gathering and analyzing business requirements to support the development team. This dual role requires a blend of technical testing skills and business analysis expertise.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision
• Elicit, analyze and validate the business needs of stakeholders and create documentation to support user stories.
• Create UX / UI mockups for the web screens
• Work with stakeholders and project team to prioritize and manage backlogs, develop user stories, process diagrams, acceptance criteria and other models to clarify the requirements.
• Manage changes to identified scope and requirements enabling the team to meet sprint goals.
• Develop, document, and execute test plans and test cases for web applications.
• Perform manual software testing (System, Integration, and Regression) to validate that acceptance criteria are met, identify defects and areas for improvement
• Test APIs using tools such as Postman, Swagger, SoapUI
• Data validation for consistency and integrity
• Track and manage testing activities (including User acceptance testing), defects, and test case execution
• Implement accessibility best practices and conduct accessibility testing on web applications using assistive technologies such as screen readers and voice recognition software.
• Perform cross browser compatibility testing
• Performance testing using tools such as Apache JMeter
• Contribute to the successful implementation, validation, delivery, and adoption of project solution.
• Agile Methodologies: Work within an agile development environment, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Independent and Collaborative Work: Independently handle tasks and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Time Management: Effectively manage time and meet deadlines in a time-critical project environment.

Requirements

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Tools and Technologies:
o UI / UX tools such as Adobe XD
o SQL
o API testing tools such as Swagger, Postman, SoapUI
o Cross browser testing tools such as LambdaTest, Selenium
o Accessibility testing tools such as Wave
o Apache JMeter
o MS Visio and other Microsoft office tools
o Agile tools (e.g., Jira).
• Soft Skills:
o Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
o Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
o Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Agile Environment: Experience working in an agile, fast-paced environment with real-world project exposure.
