YOUR OPPORTUNITY:

The Herff Jones Operations team, based in Champaign, IL is looking for a Material Handler to join our team.

Here's How You'll Make an Impact:

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that all materials are moved throughout the plant to their designated areas in a safe and efficient manner.

As we see it for right now, however, here are the challenges that we want you to tackle:

• Organize and sort gowns for various universities, high schools, and other organizations.
• Construct shipping boxes to be filled and shipped to customers.
• Pull shipping orders and place gowns in specified boxes corresponding with the orders.
• Support other department activities as assigned; must be willing and able to be cross trained on other warehouse functions.

What You'll Bring to the Table:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Hand-wrist movement, hand-eye coordination, and simple firm grasping required for manipulation.
• Employee will be standing, walking, bending, lifting, and reaching for the duration of this position.
• Job requires both hands to be successful.
• The noise environment of the space is typically moderate.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs is required for this job.
• Bending down and rotating side to side occurs frequently during this job.
