Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.:
- Prior DSO experience for at least 1 year
- Experience issuing initial I-20s for at least 1 year
- Knowledge of F‐1 regulations as they pertain to the issuance of I-20s
- Must be available for the duration of the Fall 2024 Semester (August 19‐ November 15, 2024)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Legal Permanent Resident per federal regulations to serve as a Designated School Official
Job Description:
This is a part‐time (15‐19 hours/week), temporary position for the Fall 2024 semester, from August 19, 2024 to November 15, 2024. Texas State University is seeking a Temporary International Student Advisor Assistant for the Fall 2024 semester. The International Student Advisor Assistant serves as DSO and creates all initial and dependent I‐20s for new students. This is a remote position.
Job Duties:
- Creates all initial I-20s
- Maintains records in the ISSM Ellucian system
- Provides email management assistance as needed
- Provides data entry assistance as needed
Normal Work Hours Start:
8:00AM
Normal Work Hours End:
5:00PM
