Job Description:

Position OverviewAssist Technical Director with addressing and implementing the technical needs of productions in various venues utilized by the Department of Theatre and Dance.Job Description30% - Setup venues for specific performance needs.
20% - Return venues to the stock configuration after performances.
10% - Routine maintenance of theatrical systems and the venue itself.
30% - Attend rehearsals and performances, serving as running crew as required.
10% - Other duties as assigned to address the needs of the Department of Theatre and Dance. Required Qualifications

    Knowledge of standard theatrical operating procedures: Ability to hang and focus lighting fixtures, program and operate light console, configure and operate audio system and other standard theatrical operations adhering to safety standards as evidenced in application material or from previous work experience.
  1. Comfortable working at heights.

  2. Work independently to ensure the technical needs of our productions are met.

  3. During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly.

Preferred Qualifications
    Familiarity with video and streaming.Familiarity with DAW's (ProTools, Audition, etc.)Familiarity with Qlab.Ability to troubleshoot audio, lighting, video, streaming and multimedia systems.
