Job Description:

The Sr. Finance Business Partner is primarily responsible for providing dedicated and insightful financial analysis to support the Technology division within the USIS business unit to enable the group to reach its short and long term strategic and financial objectives. Often collaborate with the Technology Senior management team to deliver financial information in a concise and meaningful manner to foster effective decision-making. This position will be one of the subject matter experts for Technology Finance within USIS and will lead a team of two financial professionals.

• What you'll do:
  
  
  
  • Drive valuable planning, budgeting and forecasting activities. Work with various areas of the business and business unit management to prepare annual budgets, including summarizing the budget and preparing presentations supporting Technology initiatives.
  • Analyze Technology spending (operating expense and capital) trends, and prepare reports and synopsis of the business results for reporting to the business and management.
  • Work with the various areas of the business, managers and business unit management on monthly financial forecasts reflecting expenses, headcount, capital and other metrics.
  • Develop business cases along with the business case sponsor and various business areas.
  • Assist in preparation and implementation of new standardized reporting model (COGS, COS, Development, G&A, etc.)
  • Work collaboratively with other FP&A team members in preparing monthly forecasts and the annual budget, seeing opportunities to enhance financial outlooks, and other financial analysis tasks and projects.
  • Forecast and plan resource for complex projects or initiatives
  • Provide ongoing support to the business.

• What you'll bring:
  
  
  
  • University Bachelor degree in Finance or a related discipline
  • 8+ years of experience in a finance related capacity
  • Technology finance experience to include creation and presentation of complex business cases. Also experience with the concept of Capitalized Development spending.
  • Make decisions guided by policies in nonstandard situations that impact the achievement of customer, operational, or project objectives
  • Critical thinking skills, ability to adapt and prioritize multiple tasks, and multi-task given multiple business demands.
  • Be able to work as a member of a team and influence others.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have strong PC skills, with a particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel.

  • MBA or Master's level degree
  • Possess a financial designation (e.g. CFA or CPA)
  • Prior experience leading a team of finance professionals
  • Experience using Hyperion, Oracle Projects and/or OBI (Business Intelligence Objects)
